before-the-storm-cowee

perhaps not the best composition and the cow could have smiled, but oh well.

I think it's a lovely composition--the patches of light in the clouds lead you right into the picture (but not too quickly) and the leaves in the bottom right frame it all really nicely.
And the colours! Oh my god, the colours. It's like eating and drinking at the same time.

but i like the large leafed plants as the foreground, and i also like the 3 or 4 layers of different... areas. :)

that's why it was a bit odd composition, with those 4 layers of something ;) i'm happy you like it tho =]

Storm, dark waters, and shadows looming . . . and then this happily lit placid field of serenity. Great use of contrast. It comes to mind that a little lightning strike added into the background would have given an added sense of action, but honestly the more quiet looming scene works just as well. To say otherwise is just being nit picky.

Thanks, and yes you might be right about the lightning, but I wouldn't manipulate a photo that much. I prefer it natural.

btw how's life been treating you?

Fine fine, life has treated me fine, obviously too fine since I neglect this place so often. I apologize, but don't forgive the late response, it's quite rude of me really.

Hope it's treated you quite well, as well?
